Orca whale and the peaky blinder
It is an honour and a privilege to use my art to showcase his life’s work and the fantastic Doug Allan, cameraman and cinematographer, to share and bring awareness to climate issues we are currently facing. Environmental conservation has always been important to me as climate change is affecting everything around us. The melting sea ice in the Antarctic and the rising sea temperatures have dramatically affected the smallest of sea creatures.
The Orca (also known as the killer whale) is the largest sea mammal; it can be found worldwide from tropical regions to the Arctic and Antarctic regions. The International Union for Conservation of Nature has found three to five different subspecies of Orca. The population of Orca worldwide is uncertain. However, it is estimated to be roughly 50,000, with most of the population in the Antarctic region….. Purchase print to read more.
